Launch of Old Pens TV channel

At this time of year rugby training would be starting for the senior squads at Old Penarthians but of course this is not possible currently.  It is hoped that the Welsh Government will soon allow group training sessions but until that time players are keeping themselves fit within the guidelines provided.

It means that the players have not yet met their new Coach, Jake Thomas, but the Club’s other appointment, Director of Rugby, Keri Lovell, has been proactive with FaceTime meetings with the Mini & Junior team coaches and discussions with the management committee about the requirements of his role.

Keri has also brought forward his own initiatives and Old Penarthians are pleased to announce the launch of Old Pens TV, a brand-new channel based on YouTube to showcase highlights of matches played by all Old Pens teams.

Every week the Club will be featuring matches from one senior and one mini, junior or youth team along with coach and player interviews, sponsor showcasing and much more. To view what the TV channel will look like visit'

Old Penarthians have been incredibly lucky to have such fantastic sponsors over the years and the Club wanted a modern, unique way to not only show off the fantastic work our coaches and players are doing, but also highlight what our sponsors mean to us and the community.

Existing and potential sponsors can view the new sponsorship packages, that offer a range of different benefits to cater for all price ranges, on To discuss the matter further contact the Club via Facebook, Twitter, or if you would prefer to chat in person please call Director of Rugby, Keri Lovell, on 07517 089483.

The Club are looking to increase the return on their investment by combining the TV channel with a measured marketing campaign on social media so the people of Penarth and further afield are fully exposed to their businesses.

It will also be a great way for local people to catch up with matches they may have missed, keep an eye on upcoming events and perhaps watch a family member/friend playing rugby on TV.

Going forward it is hoped that events at the club can be broadcast so that people can watch live on YouTube and to do so we are looking to get 1,000 subscribers to the channel so we can offer even more content.
