Old Penarthians are pleased to announce that the next phase of the club refurbishment will commence on Monday 10^th June 2019.

Following the successful refurbishment projects within the clubhouse environment, this time the work will be undertaken in the changing rooms and shower area to update the facilities that have been in use since the 1980s.  The work will all be undertaken within the footprint of the existing facilities but will include the creation of one large changing room to replace the two small changing rooms that are used by visiting 1^st XV rugby teams.  The existing mens toilet area will be modernised and a new ladies toilet room created.

It is anticipated that the period required for the contract work will be nine weeks and during this time the changing rooms and showers will not be available for use by the membership.

An access to the squash courts and gymnasium will however be maintained from the patio area and members are asked to take additional care when entering and exiting the area during times that the contractor may be undertaking work.  Please respect the contractor at all times.

There will be no access available from the bar area of the clubhouse to the squash courts or gymnasium.

At some time during the contract period the access to the squash courts and gymnasium may be denied whilst floor tiling work is completed in the corridor.  Members will be given one week’s notice of the lack of access to these areas and the extent of time that will be required to complete the work.  Notices will be posted on the entry door from the patio, on the club noticeboards and on the club’s social media outlets.

We hope that you will not incur too much inconvenience whilst the work is undertaken and we are sure that you will enjoy the new facilities when they are complete.
